This collection contains the papers of Edward G. Breen, a Dayton, Ohio native and Democratic Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives for the third district of Ohio from 1949-1951. Before being elected to Congress, Breen served in the Air Force during World War II, he then served as mayor for the city of Dayton upon his return home from war. Consists of correspondence, reports, speeches, photographs, clippings, and other printed materials relating to Cox's long career as a journalist and politician. Cox was a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 3rd District from 1909-1913, and the governor of Ohio from 1913-1915 and from 1917-1921. The papers in this collection cover the years 1968-1976 when Young served as a State Representative from Dayton to the Ohio General Assembly.
